How To Control Oily Skin

If you have oily skin, you know how difficult it can make doing your makeup. Your makeup could look amazing in the morning when you first do it, but then throughout the day you may find that it is sliding off your face and your skin looks so oily. If this happens to you, don't get discouraged! There are many ways to control your oily skin and keep your makeup looking fresh all day.

First, you want to cleanse your skin with whatever cleanser you already use, but if you are looking for a new cleanser, try Clean and Clear Mattifying Cleanser. It helps control oil, but also cleans your skin. After you wash your skin, go on with your morning skin care routine (toner, creams, etc...)
Second, you want to put on your moisturizer. When buying moisturizer look for ones that say oil-free on them, because they moisturize your skin but don't add any extra oil to the skin.
Next, you should put on your primer. Any primer for oil control should work. I use the Laura Geller Spackle Under Makeup Primer, and it works very well at setting your makeup and keeping oil at bay, so your makeup doesn't slide off your skin. It costs $25 per bottle, but it comes with A LOT of product, and all you need to use is a pea size amount for your whole face. So, a little goes a really long way, so the bottle should last you a pretty long time.
Then, go on to put on your favorite foundation, blush, bronzer, etc...
After you are finished with your makeup, apply a makeup setting spray. It really adds that extra staying power and helps conceal oil. Urban Decay has a really good one that is called De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray. It helps control any extra oil throughout the day.
If you find that throughout the day there are still some areas on your skin that get a little extra shine throughout the day, Blotting Papers are the solution. Clean and Clear Blotting Papers work really well at removing oil, but your makeup doesn't budge.

Oily skin is difficult to deal with, but is also controllable. With these tips your skin should be mattifyed and more beautiful in no time! Good luck (:
