Back To Basics: Accessorizing the LBD

Back to Basics
Fall is finally here and winter is just around the corner, which, I think, is the perfect time of year for accessorizing. I feel like you can do so much more with your outfits in the cooler months because you aren't limited due to heat. You can wear open toed heels, closed toe heels, skirts, tights, coats, sweaters, scarves, hats, boots, mittens, gloves, leg warmers, and the list goes on...

Because it is that time of year, it is probably a good time to start stocking up on some new accessories. I love accessories because they can totally change an outfit and turn it into something completely new. I like to spend a little bit more money on my basics, and then buy a lot of accessories, (cheaper ones on the pieces that I know will only last a season or two, and splurge a little more on pieces I know will be in style for a long time). If you are looking for the more trendy accessories that are super cute now, but will only be in style for couple seasons, then I recommend looking at cheaper places like Forever 21 or H&M. If you're looking for pieces that you know will be in style for a long time, then go ahead and splurge on them, because you want them to last (let's face it, forever 21 does have great prices, but the clothes aren't going to last you more than a season or so). So if you want to get a great pair of black heels that you know will last you for years, go ahead and save up for the $300 ones, rather than the $30 ones that'll only last you a little while.

I recently just bought THIS dress from Nordstrom. It's just a simple black dress that can be accessorized in so many different ways. It was also very inexpensive, so now I can go buy more accessories to make many different outfits from it. This dress can be dressed up or dressed down and you can make so many different outfits with it. It also comes in a few different colors, the next color i'm going to get is the nude because I think you can wear it many different ways, just like the black one. This dress is so versatile, which is one of the many reasons I love it. It is super comfortable and will look good on pretty much anyone. I always love thinking of the different outfits I can make out of it, and its really fun to get creative with it.

If you would like to see some of the different ways you can wear this dress, let me know in the comments below. Also, let me know how you would accessorize this dress!
